Finally!

Sorry about the long delay but Mark just got around to showing me how to post something. We're both here now, with an update for all 7 of us:

JOEY: keeping very busy with his company and is in Charlotte now, working all weekend for the Speed network account. Carissa has just returned from a conference in Orlando, so they have not had much free time lately.
His new "addition"? His new SmartCar! After a year on the waiting list, Joey took possession of this magnificent machine :-), which he and Carissa have christened "Mr. Peabody." I mean, they had it blessed and everything! Here they are on their maiden road trip to Malibu:

If any of you come to Los Angeles to visit them, keep in mind Joey can only take one of you at a time for a ride--it's a two-seater.

KATIE AND TOMMY: You've probably seen pictures from their wedding. They are still both blissfully enjoying newlywed life, both studying and working very hard in Boston. By now the snow has gotten routine for them, though Katie was thrilled to build a snowman across the street from their apartment:
Mark and I are anxious to fly to Boston to spend a few days with them during Katie's Easter break in March.

ALISON: Speaking of ridiculously busy, let's discuss Alison. I had no idea how challenging the nursing curriculum is until she got into nursing school. What is exciting for her, though, is that she is really getting into the practical aspects of the profession in her clinicals, including inserting catheders, administering IVs, etc. This half semester she is working with oncology patients. She is very happy to have moved from the Med School dorm to a house in uptown New Orleans with several of her classmates. This April she will travel with a group of her classmates to attend the National Student Nursing Association Convention in Nashville.
And last and certainly least, Mark and I: Mark is looking forward to riding in the Krewe of Orpheus Parade in Mandeville on Friday, Feb. 20: if anyone is around, he's on float 17, passenger side, 2nd on the bottom (next to Jim Nader). He's got some mean-looking plastic swords to throw, certainly worth a trip to the Northshore. This semester is a dream-come-true for me, since I am on a one-semester sabbatical, free to research without teaching. I hope something publishable results from it.
We really enjoy reading about all of you! Thanks so much, Michelle, for setting this up. We hope to hear from you all soon!

  1. It is so good to hear about everyone. Since we are now officially blogging, I guess I will have to work on the teeth in the blog header and figure out how to make the blog more exciting!
