Graduations!

We have been so busy at the Smith house. Taylor and Andrew just finished the school play, Mulan. Taylor was part of the cast and Andrew was on the backstage crew. Baseball is in full swing for Andrew. Taylor's spring volleyball and softball seasons will come to an end next weekend. I have over-volunteered myself again this year. I just sent the final product to the publisher for the 8th grade yearbook and now to start the slideshow (with 85 DVD copies) which needs to be completed next week. Of course, we are also planning a graduation party. We are looking forward to our guests and if anyone else gets the urge for a last minute vacation, we would love to see you!

Gutierrez family update

This is a picture after Easter Sunday mass. Buddy wanted to be in the picture to

This is Jake as Jesus at the St. Joseph Alter. He really enjoyed doing it and was very serious

Hello to everyone,

I am finally adding to the blog. Congrats Tommy, we are so proud and happy for you. Well , Bailey got her license on Wedensday. She is a great driver, but it is hard for mom and dad to let go. She is very excited about her up and coming recital. She is in a solo for the ballet production of Beauty and the beast for her dancing studio on memorial weekend. Alexis was chosen for her competition team at school and is very excited about it. She is also in the production of Beauty and the Beast and is looking forward to that. Jake was asked to be Jesus for the St. Joseph's Altar. All of you know how much he enjoyed that one. He was so serious you would have thought that he was real. He has started spring baseball and really loves it. Blake coaches the team and really enjoys it. Blake and I are leaving for los cabos in 2 weeks. We are very excited and Blake is in need of a little vacation. The summer is coming soon and we are looking forward to all of our little trips that we will be taking especially to the big graduations in Chigago!!!!!! Love to all and now you will probably get sick of hearing from us.

Andrew's baseball season started so we have been pretty busy.

Taylor just started another volleyball season and softball. Both Taylor and Andrew will be in teh upcoming school play. Andrew is on the backstate crew and Taylor has a singing part. Brad is playing baseball in a local league and working at the golf course again this year. Senior Prom is next week, so Pops may have to give Brad a call and remind him that he should not wear his baseball cap in his tuxedo. : ) We are counting down the days to both Taylor's and Brad's graduations. I will try to post some more pics later. Hope all is well with everyone.

Visit to Boston

Joan and I got to visit Katie and Tommy in Boston last week with the rest of the family.  We had planned a trip for her spring break and found out that Carissa and Joey were planning to go up at the same time for Carissa's work.  Since everyone was going to be there except Alison, we decided at the last minute to fly her up for the weekend as well.
We got to eat a few nice restaurants and tour Boston, Cambridge, HMS and BU.  Before Joey, Carissa and Alison arrived, Joan, Katie and I went to Concord, Walden Pond, and John Adam's birthplace in Quincy.
Pictures are here.

Joey's back on a game show this Thursday, March 19 - Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. In N.O. it's on the ABC affiliate, WGNO at 3:30 pm. I'm not sure when it comes on in other areas but you can check at http://www.tpamericaplays.com/listings.php. As with the last one, he hasn't hinted at how he did.

Mardi Gras

Rick and I had a great time at Mardi Gras. I have to say that I thought this year's Extravaganza was one of the most fun in a long time. Kid Rock was terrific and REO Speedwagon brought back many high school memories. Here are a few pics. I will try to post more later.
